Physical Eligibility for Karnataka State Police KSP Recruitment 2021

For Male Candidates (PSI Civil Posts) :-

  • Candidates must run 1600 Mtrs in 7 Minutes.
  • Long Jump not less than 3.80 Mtrs – Maximum 3 Chances only OR High Jump not less than 1.20 Mtrs – Maximum 3 Chances only.
  • Short Put 7.26 Kgs to throw not less than 5.60 Mtrs – Maximum 3 Chances only.

Physical Standard Test after Qualifying Endurance Test:-

  • Height must be 168 Cms.
  • Chest must be 86 Cms.

For Women, In-Service & Ex servicemen Candidates:

  • Candidates must run 400 Mtrs in 2 Minutes.
  • Long Jump not less than 2.50 Mtrs – Maximum 3 Chances only OR High Jump not less than 0.90 Mtrs – Maximum 3 Chances only.
  • Short Put 4 Kgs to throw not less than 3.75 Mtrs – Maximum 3 Chances only.

Physical Standard Test after Qualifying Endurance Test:-

  • Height must be 157 Cms.
  • Weight must be 45 Kgs.

  • Online Application starts from 01-04-2021 1000 hrs.
  • Last date to Apply Online is 07-07-2021 (Date extended from 03-05-2021 to 20-05-2021 and Again extended to 31-05-2021 & Again extended to 15-06-2021 & Again Extended to 22-06-2021) (Presently extended from 22-06-2021 to 07-07-2021).
  • Last date to Pay Fees for Online Application by Bank / Postal Challan is 09-07-2021 (Date extended from 05-05-2021 to 24-05-2021 and again Extended to 02-06-2021 & Again Extended to 17-06-2021 Again Extended to 24-06-2021) (Again Extended from 24-06-2021 to 09-07-2021).

Age Limit for Karnataka State Police KSP Recruitment 2021

  • Minimum age for entry is 21 Years as on 03-05-2021.
  • Maximum Age limit for SC / ST / OBC Candidates is 32 Years as on 03-05-2021.
  • Maximum Age limit for others is 30 Years as on 03-05-2021.
  • Age relaxations applicable to other categories as per Govt. Rules.

About Karnataka State Police KSP

The district police administration is headed by a Superintendent of Police. A group of districts comprise a range, led by an Inspector General of Police. Police administration in Bengaluru is headed by a commissioner of police with the rank of Additional DGP. Cities of Mysuru, Mangaluru and Hubballi-Dharwad city are headed by an Inspector General of Police(IGP) while Belagavi and Kalburgi is headed by a Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG).

The Director General and Inspector General of Police (DG&IGP) is the head of the state’s police department, and under him are Director general of police’s, Additional Directors Generals of Police. Each Additional Director General of Police is in charge of a particular function: law and order, crime and technical services, administration, intelligence, the Karnataka State Reserve Police, recruitment and training.

There are Four Commissionarates and seven police ranges. The Commissioner of Police, Bangalore City has the rank of Additional Director General of Police, and the commissioners in Hubballi-Dharwad, Mysuru and Mangaluru have the rank of Inspector General of Police while the Belagavi and kalaburgi commissioner has the rank of Deputy Inspector General of Police. Six Inspectors General of Police are in charge of ranges, with several Inspectors General of Police in charge of specific functions. Each Range comprises three to six districts, and each district is headed by a Superintendent of Police.
