Important Dates for Coast Guard Navik Yantrik Recruitment 2021

  • Online Application starts from 02-07-2021 1000 hrs.
  • Last Date for Online Application is 16-07-2021 1800 hrs.
  • Tentative Dates for Stage-I Exam for Navik (GD, DB) & Yantrik will be in Mid / End of Sept 2021.
  • Tentative Dates for Stage-II Exam for Navik (GD, DB) & Yantrik will be in Mid / End of Oct 2021.
  • Tentative Dates for Stage-III & IV Exam for Navik (GD) & Yantrik will be in Early Feb 2022.
  • Tentative Dates for Stage-III & IV Exam for Navik (DB) will be in Early April 2022.
  • The E-admit card with exact Examination Centre address will be available in Candidate login and E-mail will be sent on registered email id only 02-03 days prior to examination.
  • The result of the online examination at stage-I will be announced tentatively within 30 days.
  • The basic training for Navik (General Duty) and Yantrik will commence in Feb 2022 and Navik (Domestic Branch) in Apr 2022.

Age Limit for Coast Guard Navik Yantrik Vacancy 2021

  • Minimum age to apply is 18 Years.
  • Minimum age to apply is 22 Years.
  • For Navik (GD) and Yantrik : Candidate should have born between 01st Feb 2000 to 31st Jan 2004 (both dates inclusive).
  • For Navik(DB). Candidate should have born between 01st Apr 2000 to 31st March 2004 (both dates inclusive).
  • The upper age limit is relaxed by 5 Years for SC /ST and 3 Years for OBC (NCL) Candidates.

  • Application Fees for Candidates from General (UR) is Rs. 250/-.
  • No Application Fees for Candidates from SC / ST.

Medical Standards for Coast Guard Navik Yantrik Recruitment 2021

  • Medical examination will be conducted by authorized Military Doctors as per medical standard prescribed in current regulations applicable to Enrolled Personnel on entry.
  • Height. Minimum height 157 cms. Height standards may be reduced by upto 05 cms below 157 cms for candidates having domicile of Assam, Nagaland, Mizoram, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Tripura, Garhwal, Sikkim and Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Height standards may be reduced by upto 02 cms for candidates having domicile of Lakshadweep.
  • Chest. It should be well proportioned. Minimum expansion 5 cms.
  • Weight. Proportionate to height and age +10 percentage acceptable.
  • Hearing. Normal.

Selection Procedure for Coast Guard Navik Yantrik Recruitment 2021

The selection of recruits is based on an all India order of merit on their performance in Stage-I, II, III & IV for the posts. Clearing of Stage-I, II, III, IV and satisfactory performance in training is compulsory for recruitment in ICG. All candidates will be compulsorily subjected to biometric, photo identification and document verification during stage-I, II, III & IV of the selection procedure.

About Indian Coast Guard

The Indian Coast Guard is a multi-mission organization, conducting round-the-year real-life operations at sea.  Despite being relatively small, it has a wide range of task capabilities for both surface and air operations.

The organization is headed by the Director General Indian Coast Guard (DGICG) exercising his overall command and superintendence from the Coast Guard Headquarters (CGHQ) located at New Delhi.  At CGHQ, he is assisted by four Deputy Director Generals of the rank of Inspector General, and other senior officers heading various staff divisions.

For effective command and control, the Maritime Zones of India are divided into five Coast Guard Regions, namely, North-West, West, East, North-East and Andaman & Nicobar, with the respective Regional Headquarters located at Gandhinagar, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata and Port Blair.  The Coast Guard Regions are commanded by Officers of the rank of Inspector General.

The regions are further divided into twelve Coast Guard ‘Districts’, one each for the nine coastal states on the mainland, two in the Andaman & Nicobar Region, and one at Kavaratti in the Lakshadweep and Minicoy Islands.  Each Coast Guard District comprises of one or more Coast Guard Stations.  In addition, there are Coast Guard Air Stations (CGAS) and Air Enclaves (CGAE) for air operations from various locations along the coastline.
